L.Eruditio&Veritas is composed of three pillars: Lux (Enlightenment), Eruditio (Scholarship), and Veritas (Truth).

Lux represents light and hope—the spark of inspiration that dispels chaos. On our horological journey, we chase these fleeting sparks, allowing them to guide our constant progression.

Eruditio stands for cultivation and the accumulation of wisdom, reflecting the rational and inquisitive side of Veritas. It embodies the spirit of "refining the essence," an allusion to the meticulous polishing and research inherent in the watchmaking process.

Veritas represents objectivity and authenticity, the core value of our brand: to cast aside vanity and reach for the essence. Whether in life or in craft, we strive for honesty and integrity, viewing them as the ultimate benchmarks for testing both inspiration and knowledge.

The brand’s Chinese moniker, "Shizhen" (时真 - The Verity of Time), reflects our humanist reflection: to broaden one's horizons with the light of wisdom, to refine memory through erudition, and to cross the river of truth to reach the distant shore.

I am well aware that the tide of industrial mass production is irreversible, and that modern manufacturing has raised the ceiling for what is technically possible. Yet, I often find myself wondering: is it possible to actively embrace modern technology and supply chains while still tempering products with a craftsman’s heart? Can we integrate traditional techniques passed down through generations to infuse a sense of "human warmth" into our creations?

Driven by these thoughts, I chose horology—the indispensable joy of my life—as the vessel to establish this brand. Choosing such a path means this project was never destined for the "fast lane" of chasing trends or creating "hype" products for quick returns. By embracing less efficient and more complex processing methods, we accept lower productivity and higher costs. Our obsession with refining design details results in a slow, deliberate pace of release. However, a deep-seated love for this craft helps me suppress greed and short-sightedness, providing a never-ending source of momentum. Just as the name "Shizhen" implies, I am willing to spend the only thing humans possess in equal measure—time—to pursue the truths I believe in.

My hope is to pour my reflections, insights, and the beautiful elements I discover in life into my products.
